Taj Mahal has a long history. The history was created for love. Its really the best love story in the world ever. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal in memory of his wife,
Mamtaz Mahal, who died in the year four. Shahjahan’s third wife, Mamtaz, was known for her exceptional beauty and it was leaned that the emperor was angry with her. Waiting for his sudden death, it is believed that the emperor turned gray only one night.
Work on the Taj began in 1632, but it was not until 1653 that the whole monument became one in its present form. The fate, however, was that shortly after the creation of the Taj, Shah Jahan was ousted by his son Aurangzeb, who had imprisoned him at Agra’s fort, where he had spent the rest of his year searching for Taj.
After his death in 1666, Shah Jahan was buried next to his beloved Mumtaz at the Taj Mahal.
Since UNESCO World War I was “the jewel of the Muslim industry in India and one of the most widely admired in the world mastermind”, a force of 20,6 craftsmen from all over India, Central Asia and Europe was appointed to work at the Taj.
